this is about nadodigal(tamil movie). i could not foget this moview even though i saw it a week back. its kind of werid,mad,pacy and coolest movie. its about 3 friends(Karuna,PAndi and Chandran). each having their own goals in life. one want to go to foreign, antoher want to get govt job so that he cud marry her girfiren and another wants to own a computer institute. But then Karuna’s childhood friend comes and seeks help to marry his love. They go on a journey help the couple marry. in the process they sacrifice a lot. was their sacrifice worth forms the remaining of the movie. I loved the Pandi’s character. there are quite a lot of overindulgence in showing the suffering. and lot of flaws. but all these kind of flaws gave a different feel to the movie.

After a long time seeing a kannada movie. The reason,its been running in theatres for a long time and the posters looked real nice. Abhiram is the main lead. he goes on a biking journey in finding her love Janaki. And the story of their romance and thier split is interspersed as flashbacks during the journey. Abhiram is a rich guy who takes life easy and lives in his own world of partying and friends. Janaki is a simple gal who is a doctor and more interested in social service. Both have so much different values in life. Abhiram loves Janaki, but Janaki understands he cant understand her values in life. THat point she leaves him. Abhiram not able to forget her tries to track her. During this journey he interacts with different people who belong to different lifestyles. he finds a friend in a petty theif. This guy accompanies Abhiram throughout the journey. he begins to understand thier life and in turn understands Janakis value. I dont think this movie is about if he meets janaki, but instead its about if he understands Janaki’s values. Abhiram has lived the role throughout. There are few unforgettable moments . one being Abhiram hugging his father towards the end. Antoher being an advise from Janaki’s friend who tells that Janaki dint ditch him, instead left him because she believes in Abhi being able to find her at any cost. there are over indulges as in many indian movies such as the naxalite plot.But then we go through an amazing journey in the movie. its a must watch. btw i read its reamade from a telugu movie called Gamyam.

This movie is the best made with lot of purpose. Amazing and throughtful to watch and to change ourselves to make this earth a better place to live.
If last year we saw so many movies in English based on real life like “Cinderalla Man”, “Walk the line”,”The Aviator” this year it is turn of bollywood movies. Just two months in this year we have seen maniratnam’s “Guru “,”Parzania” and “Black Friday”. For some reason movies based on real life affects me in some unique ways than fictional ones. Either it motivates you, or makes you think real hard. It will get you involved. In Guru mani makes such a biopic watchable with some great acting skills and tight screenplay. In Parzania, we see how an innocent family is affected by riots and the following torment they go through. Black Friday actually mentions lot of names from real life and jolts you and is made in a watchable movie. Its the boldest ever film in India. It kind of sublty shows the root cause of how bombay violence. In the same league as movies that had some social issues we can metion “Black Diamond” as well which is entertaining. but in the end you realize the agony of the people in real life and makes you think.
At last imanaged to get a ticket to Laghe Rago Munna Bhai. It was worth the wait. This movie shows us that Munna and Circuit will have more such innings. In this innings its about Gandhigiri. The duo are at their best. The humor and the storlyine is awesome. But the only let down this time may be the music may not be that great as the part 1.
It has been quite a while since updating by blog. In between seen quite a wonderful movie called Gangster a week before and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am right now back from Kerala after a short trip for attending my friends ninan’s wedding. Bus broke down on way back and we were stranded for about 3 hrs in kottayam. Anyways it was quite a lot of fun.
It has been quite sometime updating this blog. Bangalore has gone insane on thursday and friday coz of Rajkumars funeral. No shops, no movies, not even cable tv. All one could do is just sleep. All my friends went home for Easter celeberations and i was stuck in bangalore all alone. On Saturday i managed to see the movie “The New World”. This movie is totally different. This movie is about British soldiers entering into Virginia islands during the 16 th century and their contact with the tribes there. But its not an war movie. It shows the interaction of captain Smith with the tribes and how he falls in love with a tribal girl and later the tribal girls encounter with modern world in Britain. You cant remotely guess what would happen next or the end. It transports us into a different world into the tribal land.The music, the natural sounds and cinematography mesmerises. It takes us into a kind of journey. I loved this movie and see it again. But i saw the Bangalore audience so impatient with these kind of movies. Few people went out in middle and few more regretting why they saw the movie. This movie is certainly only for people who see movie as an art form rather than instant entertainment. I carried the memories of the movie through out the night and next day.
Have seen the movie “V for Vendetta”. I was eagerly waiting for the movie ever scince seeing the trailer. This movie is from matrix guys-Wachowski brothers. I have seen Matrix several times that i lost the count.But matrix 2 and 3 parts were not really as same quality as the Matrix. So lot of expectations for this movie. The movie is highly intellectual stuff that talks on freedom from opressive government. The movie is about a futuristic British Govt where freedom is only in the words not in spirit. V is a guy who was opressed by Govt and he takes on the Govt by making a cult following all by himself. The story is rivetting and acting phenomenal. The movie is very stylistic with lot of intellegent dialogues and moments. The amazing moment is when V actually puts Evey(She saves V from police once) in captivity and tortures her just to make her realize what it is like to be stripped of freedom. This movie is highly dramatic contemporary movie. This is not a movie for action movie watchers though it has some pretty cool actions. This movie is for serious movie watchers.
